My son attended Prestonwood Montessori from K-2, with more and more issues arising each year from constant change of administration and staff and lack of communication to blatant disregard of parental rights. PLEASE, PLEASE do not send your children here! This school switches principals, assistant principals, nurses and teachers mid semester with little to no notice to parents. There is a HUGE communication issue where they do not answer the phone when they have your child and also when they switch administration they do not communicate information to the new staff. Prestonwood is a Montessori in which a student is supposed to have the same instructor for a segment of their learning experience(typically 2-3 years, depending on when your student begins the program). My son has had 3 different teachers within one learning segment.. one of which, quit after one semester of being at Prestonwood. In my son’s second year he was rushed to the local emergency room from class of an apparent asthma attack in which the assistant principal at the time rode with him in the ambulance. This information was not documented and the school nurse, assistant principal and principal have since been released from the school. There is something odd happening at Prestonwood Montessori. This is not a safe place to send your children if you want peace of mind that they’re being educated and cared for adequately. - a parent to a former student
